Hello. I’m Bryan A. Thompson. I look like this – or at least I did when this photo was taken a few years ago.
I’ve had many interests over the years. I love enduro dirt bikes, I raced Go Karts when I was a kid. In my teens I got hurt and my grandfather got me started in an electronics and computing career. I graduated from the University of Missouri – Rolla with an Electrical Engineering degree in 1994.
I realized that I’d rather be a photographer. I went ahead and got the EE and worked at the University of Missouri – Rolla (now Missouri S&T). When I realized I was stuck in a dead-end job, I sold everything I owned on eBay and got out of debt. But I never gave up on the photography, and I purchased a camera and shot some photos which led to career number two. I owned RollaPhoto.com from 2005-2013.
In 2000, I restored a Corvette and reverse engineered the bad electronics and published a huge amount of info on batee.com to help other people with the same problems I did – that turned into career number three. Now I design and manufacture parts used to restore vintage automobiles.
I created CrazyUncleBurton.com to have a place to share personal projects and interests.
