About Bryan A. Thompson

I'm an Electrical Engineer. For the first twenty years or so of my life, I couldn't be bothered with such trivialities as, well, anything remotely resembling creativity. You know the type - we all have that look about us, I'm told. The classic computer geek. I never paid attention in art, music, or reading classes, and the way I see it, this is just sort of a way to make up for all those projects that "the dog ate".

 

Here's how it all went down:

• 1970: Born in Kansas City, MO
• Went to school in Lamar, MO (1975-1983) and Joplin, MO (1983-1985) and Grandview, MO (1985-1988)
• 1982-1985: Worked at Four State Raceway with John Markham and Jamie McMurray
• 1985-1988: Worked at Worlds of Fun KC
• 1994: Graduated from University of Missouri-Rolla with a degree in Electrical Engineering
• 1999: Restored a 1986 Corvette and Founded batee.com Corvette Electronics Repair which documented my fixes
• 2003-2013: Created "Free Photos in the Park" fundraiser for ACS. We photographed hundreds of families which otherwise wouldn't have had family photos
• 2005-2013: Volunteered for the American Cancer Society. My friends and I raised over $1 Million, so that's something
• Believed the "Buy a Porsche for $10,000" article and bought a Porsche Boxster S in 2016 to expand batee.com offerings.
• These days I spend most of my free time developing new products for the great guys over at batee.com
